Great Day For Runners Waiver, Release of Liability, and Media Release

Effective date: May 15, 2026

This Waiver, Release of Liability, and Media Release applies to all Great Day For Runners ("Great Day") events, including but not limited to Gay Bar Fun Run, Big Gay Coffee Run, Pride runs, night runs, social runs, coffee runs, bar runs, and any other Great Day Runners activity.

For purposes of this waiver, Great Day means True Performance Coaching LLC d/b/a Great Day For Runners, Brian Boisvert, and all organizers, hosts, run leaders, volunteers, coaches, participants, runners, sponsors, partners, photographers, videographers, affiliated venues, and others involved in organizing, hosting, supporting, promoting, or participating in Great Day Runners events. These are the “Released Parties.”

By joining the Great Day Heylo group, RSVP’ing to an event, attending an event, or participating in any Great Day activity, you agree as follows:

1. Assumption of riskI understand that running, walking, group fitness, and related social events involve inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, falls, collisions, traffic, road crossings, uneven pavement, curbs, potholes, construction, weather, darkness, dehydration, illness, overexertion, injury, property loss, and, in rare cases, serious injury or death.

I understand that Great Day events take place on public streets, sidewalks, parks, paths, and third-party venues that Great Day does not own or control. I voluntarily participate and assume all risks associated with attending or participating in any Great Day event.

2. Release of liabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, and discharge the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or liability of any kind arising out of or related to my participation in, attendance at, or travel to or from any Great Day event.

This release includes, without limitation, claims for personal injury, illness, death, property loss, theft, or property damage, including claims arising from the ordinary negligence of any Released Party, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

This waiver does not waive any claim that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

3. Public streets, routes, and personal responsibilityI understand that Great Day may suggest, select, or communicate routes, but I remain responsible for my own safety at all times.

I agree to obey all traffic laws, pedestrian signals, road rules, posted signs, and reasonable safety directions from organizers.

I am responsible for deciding whether it is safe to cross a street, continue running, follow a route, remain with the group, or participate in any part of an event.

I acknowledge that Great Day does not guarantee that any route is free from hazards, traffic, construction, weather risks, uneven surfaces, or other dangers.

4. Health, age, and fitnessI confirm that I am at least 18 years old and physically able to participate safely.

I am responsible for my own health, hydration, pace, fitness level, and physical limits. Great Day Runners events are casual community runs and social events, not medical, fitness, coaching, or training advice.

If I feel unwell, unsafe, injured, impaired, or unable to continue, I will stop participating.

5. Bag check and personal propertyIf Great Day Runners offers informal bag check or storage, it is provided only as a convenience.

I remain responsible for my own belongings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced items.

6. Alcohol and third-party venuesSome Great Day events may end at or near bars, restaurants, coffee shops, or other third-party venues where alcohol may be available.

I am solely responsible for my own decisions regarding alcohol, transportation, and personal safety. Great Day does not require or encourage alcohol consumption and is not responsible for the premises, products, services, actions, or omissions of any third-party venue.

7. Conduct and safetyI agree to act respectfully and safely toward organizers, volunteers, runners, pedestrians, venue staff, and the public.

I agree to follow reasonable safety directions from organizers. Great Day may ask any participant to leave or stop participating at any time.

8. Photo and video releaseI understand that Great Day events may be photographed, filmed, recorded, or otherwise captured for social media, marketing, promotional, community, and business purposes.

By attending or participating, I grant Great Day and its designees the irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to photograph, film, record, use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise use my name, image, likeness, voice, and appearance in any media, including social media and promotional materials, without payment, notice, or further approval.

9. Continuing applicationThis waiver applies to all Great Day events I attend or participate in, whether past, present, or future, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

By joining, RSVP’ing, attending, or participating, I confirm that I have read this waiver, understand it, and agree to be bound by it.
